Chevron Nails
I was in Target yesterday and they had a whole display out of the Essie Poppy*Razzi collection…which came out months ago! I’d been wanting Camera forever so I was glad to snatch that up!
It’s fanastic neony-sort-of-jelly cream. It had good opacity with 2 coats and rubbery finish but I had slight VNL so I went with a third coat. I used the tutorial on Top Coat It to do the chevrons, although I made my guide strips on a vinyl cutter.
The important thing when doing a tape manicure is to pull the tape off while the polish is wet. I use a pair of tweezers so I don’t mess up my other hand.
The black is a Rimmel polish. I had intended to use a silver foil for my accent nail, but did this in dim light and accidentally used a gold instead. It’s Barry M Gold foil.
Here is a rare photo of my right hand. I used smaller chevron guide strips on this hand. It looks a bit different from my left hand, but I really like both versions.
